Early Intervention Worker, Arabic speaking (PT)

Auburn Diversity Services is seeking applications from suitable applicants for the position of Early Intervention Worker (Part-Time 14.5 hours per week). This is a part-time position until 30 June 2010. The position is funded by the Department of Community Services (DoCS) under the Families NSW Strategy of the NSW Government. The aim of the position is to provide culturally appropriate early intervention and family support for families with children (0 – 8) in Berala, Berala Public School and surrounding areas. The worker is responsible for providing relevant support services, reduce isolation and improve access to services via: supported play group, home visits and relevant information sessions to the target group (parenting, health and nutrition, life skills, child development, child care, transition to school etc.)

Salary: Remuneration is based on SACS Award Grade 3 Year 1, depending on relevant qualifications and experience.
