About the Position:
This is a full time position (35 hours per week) and will form part of the settlement services team at the AMRC. Subsequently this position will report to the settlement services coordinator who will support the project officer in delivering a program for refugees and humanitarian entrants. As well as being supported the position also requires the project officer to take initiative and work with a high level of autonomy. The Auburn MRC is seeking a team leader for the new African Community settlement program. This program will ultimately aim to improve access for African entrants into mainstream services. The team leader will support the team members through casework, organising information sessions, and cultural transition activities for newly arrived African migrants. The team leader will also be responsible for establishing advisory committees, organise, support, and advocate for the community, which will ultimately assist them through the integration process.
